Dangerous weather moving through East Texas Sunday morning
Many parts of East Texas experienced severe weather Sunday morning.
By 8:30 a.m. most of the tornado warnings in East Texas had been dropped as severe weather continued to move northeast.
A flash flood warning remained in effect in Smith County until at least 11 a.m.
As of 8:35 a.m. there were no reports of major damage from the storms. Thousands at one time were without electricity.

As of 8:15 a.m., a severe storm with a possible tornado was in the Turnertown and New London area, according to reports. Officials also said a possible tornado was approaching Longview.

As of 8 a.m., a possible tornado also was in the Troup area.
The line storms also had high winds, rain and hail. Some areas were under flash flood watches or warnings.
