Kane Brown Shares Uplifting Song ‘Worldwide Beautiful,’ Dedicates Funds to BGCA: Stream It Now
Kane Brown has dedicated his new song to the movement against racism and discrimination.
Produced by Dann Huff, “Worldwide Beautiful” dropped at midnight and raises much needed funds for the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) to advocate for justice and equality for millions of young people.
It’s is an uplifting number which Brown has been “holding onto for a year,” he writes in an Instagram post. “I’m hoping it will bring us together during this time,” he continues.
On it, he sings: “You’re missing every color if you’re only seeing black and white / Tell me how you’re gonna change your mind if your heart’s unmovable / We ain’t that different from each other from one to another/ I look around and see worldwide beautiful.”
The four-time American Music Award winner teased the song late last year, and returned to in recent days as millions of Americans took to the streets to protest the murder of George Floyd, another unarmed African-American life taken at the hands of law enforcement.
“I’ve been trying to think of how to say this as easy as possible and not be bashed because of the different sides,” he wrote. “I hate confrontation but this is the truth whether you wanna believe it or not.” He then invited followers to ask questions, to which he’d answer “as many as I can.”
“Worldwide Beautiful” shares its name with Brown’s scheduled 2020 world tour, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
