It’s a Girl! Katherine Schwarzenegger & Chris Pratt Welcome Their First Child Together

Aw, you guys — Katherine Schwarzenegger is official a mama! The author-slash-lifestyle-blogger, 30, has given birth to her first child with husband, Chris Pratt, 41. Her brother, Patrick Schwarzenegger, confirmed the happy news late Sunday night in a video message shared by Entertainment Tonight — also apparently revealing that the happy parents welcomed a baby girl.

As you might expect, Katherine and Pratt are currently floating on Cloud 9. “They’re doing great!” Patrick told ET, flashing a glimpse of a small gift box adorned with a pink bow. “Just got her a little gift.” After being congratulated on becoming an uncle, he gave the camera a thumb’s up. Reps for the couple have yet to comment on the new addition to the family, who joins big brother Jack (Pratt’s son, almost 8, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris).

At this point, it’s unclear exactly when Katherine and Pratt brought their first child together into the world. However, a source noted that Pratt’s car was seen at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, on Friday afternoon. That same afternoon, Katherine’s famous father Arnold was spotted headed to his car while smoking a cigar. And on Saturday, a delivery van dropped off flowers at Katherine’s house.

In June, Katherine and Pratt celebrated one year of marriage. While rumors that she may be expecting had been swirling for months, People confirmed as much this April. “After they got married, they couldn’t wait to grow their family,” a source told the outlet at the time. “Jack will be a great big brother. Katherine always says that he is the sweetest, most caring boy. Katherine thinks Chris is an amazing dad. She allowed herself to fall in love with Chris quickly because she early on realized that he is a great family guy. She loves being an extra mom to Jack.”

And although the pair probably didn’t think this milestone would occur during a pandemic, Katherine told Dr. Zelana Montminy during an Instagram Live chat in June that they were handling things as well as could be expected.

“I’m really lucky to be living in very close proximity to my family, which has been very helpful,” she said, then adding of Pratt, “It’s been amazing having him home and also very understanding about my need to sanitize everything, having everyone wear masks all the time.”
