Beyoncé DENIES reports she’s to set announce a 2020 Las Vegas Residency early next year
Beyoncé has denied reports she’s set to do a Las Vegas residency in 2020.
A representative for the the Halo hitmaker, 38, has shut down the claim, stating to Variety that it is ‘absolutely not true’.
It comes amid reports she could have become the highest paid star on the Nevada strip.
Though the megastar will not take up a residency in Sin City, she is no stranger to performing in Las Vegas.
In 2009 she released her album I Am…Yours: An Intimate Performance at Wynn’ Las Vegas, which was recorded over a select few Vegas dates during her world tour.
Beyoncé’s loyal fanbase, known as the Beyhive, swarmed to Twitter after hearing the news about her potential residency.
One said: ‘Beyoncé and this residency gonna have me paying my bills months ahead.’
Another added: ‘If Beyoncé gets this Las Vegas residency I will literally pass tf OUT!’
While another said: ‘Beyoncé & a Las Vegas Residency? 2020 is already the best year ever!’
‘If Beyoncé is doing a residency in Vegas I’m going like 8 times,’ another added.
MailOnline has contacted Beyoncé’s representative for comment.
Beyoncé was busy last month filming her new music video for her single Brown Skin Girl.
MailOnline exclusively revealed that the American hitmaker has chosen to film the video on a number of south London estates, such as Catford and Thamesmead.
Beyoncé’s casting team called for ‘black and brown people of different cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, genders and ages’ all with backgrounds in London to step forward.
Brown Skin Girl, featuring Saint Jhn and Wizkid, marked Beyoncé’s second collaboration with daughter Blue Ivy, seven, who also sings on the track.
Beyoncé released the 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift, in honor of her role of Nala in this summer’s successful Disney remake.
The body of work also includes tracks Spirit and Mood 4 Eva, but Brown Skin Girl has proven a favourite among fans for being a ‘celebration of dark-skinned women.’
Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, 36, thanked Bey for her name check in the track while Streatham-born supermodel Naomi Campbell, 49, is also referenced.
