Dorit Kemsley gave details about her pricey wardrobe before home invasion
Dorit Kemsley gushed about her pricey wardrobe in a “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” episode that aired just hours before she became the victim of a home invasion.
The reality star, 45, described having a huge closet full of couture during the Bravo show’s reunion Wednesday — and declared that she had paid the full retail price for each of the high-end duds.
“I’m really particular,” Kemsley said in the episode, which was taped in September. “I want to wear what I want to wear, and it’s just easier. I just think, ‘I’ll buy it.’”
While the Nektaria wedding dress designer elaborated on her fashion sense, the network flashed photos of her wearing multiple pricey outfits by the likes of Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, and Alexandre Vauthier.
“I dress for myself — what I like,” she told host Andy Cohen.
Kemsley has never been shy about showing off her wardrobe — and has even let the world take a peek inside the fabulous walk-in closet at her $6.5 million mansion in Encino, Calif.
As recently as this May, she opened her doors for a Bravo film crew and showed off drawers full of gold and silver jewelry, dozens of sunglasses and racks upon racks of designer clothes.
Kemsley also revealed that she and husband Paul “PK” Kemsley each have their own walk-in closet. Although slightly smaller than hers, 54-year-old PK’s displayed dozens of work clothes, coats and sneakers.
The mom of two was reportedly held at gunpoint during a home invasion Wednesday around 10:50 p.m. local time. She was home with her two children, Jagger, 7, and Phoenix, 5, while PK was in London.
A spokesman for the LAPD told Page Six that three male suspects stole an unknown amount of property, though no arrests have been made. The spokesman didn’t confirm reports that Dorit had been held at gunpoint.
The Daily Mail reported the intruders broke in by smashing through the Kemsley kids’ classroom door. Two of the men then allegedly walked into Dorit’s bedroom while she was sleeping and woke her up.
“Don’t hurt my babies. Don’t kill me,” the newspaper claimed she said. “I’m a mother.”
One of the men allegedly replied, “Kill her.”
The men allegedly searched the house for 20 minutes before leaving with her jewelry and handbags. Dorit then called the police and her husband.
