Gary Lineker’s ex-wife Danielle Bux confirms she is MARRIED after secretly exchanging vows with partner Nate Greenwald last summer
Gary Lineker’s ex-wife Danielle Bux has confirmed she secretly married partner Nate Greenwald in the United States last summer.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the model and actress shared a series of images from her wedding to the American entertainment lawyer in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
Danielle, 40, looks stunning in an elegant silk bridal gown and veil as she poses alongside her husband in front of a large floral decoration.
Holding a bouquet, the Welsh mother-of-two beams as Greenwald, who wears a smart grey two-piece suit, kisses her free hand.
Captioning the images, she wrote: ‘#Throwback to our summer wedding’
Sources have since revealed the couple enjoyed a low-key service on the picturesque island, a popular summer destination off the coast of Cape Cod.
A source told The Sun: ‘It was a quiet family ceremony. She kept it on the down-low.’
It is not known if Match of the Day host Lineker, who maintain a close relationship with his ex-wife, attended the summer service.
The former couple confirmed their separation in 2016 after nine-years of marriage, with Danielle subsequently relocating to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Danielle’s relationship with Greenwald, an Ivy League educated lawyer with CAA, was confirmed shortly after her move to the United States.
Danielle, already a parent to teenage daughter Ella from a former relationship, confirmed she was expecting her first child with the lawyer in February 2017.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘She is thrilled and so excited she’s pregnant. She’s been keeping it a secret until she was over 12 weeks but now she’s telling family and friends.
‘It’s nice because Gary never wanted to have kids with her. That was one of the reasons they broke up. So she thought she might have missed her chance to have any more kids.’
The couple welcomed their daughter, Romy Wren, in August 2017.
Confirming the news in a series of Instaggram posts, she wrote: ‘Our baby girl has arrived Romy Wren Greenwald. A whopper, as expected. 8.5lbs. 8/8/17.’
Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, ex-husband Lineker was reportedly one of the first to congratulate the couple.
A source claimed: ‘Danielle and Gary remain great friends and will continue seeing each other in that capacity with Nate’s full blessing.’
Speaking to the Express in October, Lineker, 58, admitted he frequently socializes with Greeenwald during his sporadic trips to visit Danielle in California.
‘He’s not got a jealous bone in his body,’ he said. ‘We get on really well. We go out for dinner when I’m in LA. It might be unusual and people might go, “That’s weird” but, frankly, I don’t care. What is normal?
‘Is it better to get divorced and end up fighting, screaming and shouting? Or is it better to get on if you can?’
