Gavin Kaysen, Andrew Zimmern picked as chefs for Timberwolves
KZ Provisioning, the catering company launched by star chefs Gavin Kaysen and Andrew Zimmern, has won another big-time sports client: The Minnesota Timberwolves.
The NBA team announced the partnership its Facebook page, saying that the deal would help it “lead the way way in performance nutrition.”
Kaysen, the owner of Spoon and Stable and Demi in Minneapolis and Bellecour in Wayzata, said on his Instagram page that “We will be the chefs for this team, commitment is beyond just delicious food, but feeding the players with the goal that we will know their bodies better then they will.”
KZ Provisioning inked a similar deal with the Minnesota Wild last year.
Kaysen and Zimmern — the food-television host and owner of the Lucky Cricket restaurant in St. Louis Park — are just the latest chefs to partner with the T-Wolves. The team in 2016 hired David Fhima, who ran the shuttered Faces Mears Park in St. Paul and Minneapolis Cafe, to revamp Target Center’s concessions and dining options. Fhima and the Wolves unveiled this season’s menu earlier this month.
