As Brad arrived at the ceremony, he was asked how he felt about potentially bumping into Jennifer on the red carpet.

‘I’ll run into Jen, she’s a good friend. Yeah,’ Brad told Entertainment Tonight with a smile.

‘The second most important reunion of her year? I understand,’ he continued, referring to Jennifer’s first ever Instagram post, which showed her with her former co-stars. ‘That was a play on Friends. They were saying that.’

Jennifer then backed up Brad’s claims of friendship as she was seen cheering him on as he accepted his Golden Globe.

Inside the event, the pair had been seen sitting just feet away from one another, with Brad and Jennifer placed on neighbouring tables.

The actress also laughed along as Brad made a joke about his love life.

During his acceptance speech, the actor quipped: ‘I wanted to bring my mom but I couldn’t, because anyone I stand next to, they say I’m dating…

‘And that would just be awkward.’

The camera quickly panned to Jennifer, who could be seen chuckling away in the crowd.

Attending the Golden Globes no doubt brought back memories for the exes, who famously attended the ceremony as a married couple back in 2002.

Brad was also in the company of some more famous exes at Sunday’s awards, as he walked the red carpet alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, who he dated for two years before their split in 1997.

Christina Applegate was also in attendance, who he dated in 1989.

Stopping by to chat with Ryan Seacrest ahead of the event, Jennifer referred to her chance to produce the show as a ‘perfect storm.’

‘I’ve been producing for last ten years,’ she told Ryan. ‘We were not finding the roles that we felt excited about, so we took matters into our own hands’.
