Gregory Tyree Boyce And Girlfriend Found Dead In Las Vegas Condo, Family Issues Statement
AceShowbiz – Gregory Tyree Boyce has gone too soon. The actor known for his portrayal of Tyler Crowley in 2008’s “Twilight” was found dead, alongside his girlfriend Natalie Adepoju, inside their condominium in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 13. The Clark County medical examiner’s office confirmed the tragic news.
While the cause of Gregory and Natalie’s death has not been released, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Larry Hadfield claimed that the couple’s body was found at 2:48 P.M. after officers were called to a home on the 3300 block of Casey Drive. To the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he stated, “The incident was not criminal.”
A source suggested to E! News that Gregory’s cousin was the one who first found him and his girlfriend. “Greg’s cousin woke up and noticed that Greg’s car was still at the house. He was worried because Greg was to be in L.A. His cousin went to check on him and found them,” the source stated, adding that the 30-year-old “would commute to L.A. for acting jobs and to see his daughter.”
Since the news broke out, Gregory’s family has issued a statement via TMZ. “We as family of Gregory Boyce are very saddened by our loss. He was a dad, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the light of all our lives and we are very saddened by his death,” it read.
“The Gregory we knew was intimate with the world and a good person. He was a very respectful and responsible man. He always put others first,” his family continued on remembering the late actor. “The family would like to ask for our privacy as we mourn our losses and thank you for your well wishes.”
Gregory’s mother Lisa Wayne has also paid a tribute to her late son. In a lengthy Facebook post, she described him as “the best chef.” She went on to share, “He was in the process of starting a wing business, West Wings. He created the flavors to his perfection and named them after west coast rappers. … I can say that my son was my favorite chef. He was on to something great and that was his passion.”
“Greggy, if I could get my chef on like you, I’d continue this West Wings and set your baby girl up for life. You told me that you didn’t want me to work, you wanted to take care of me. Oh man, this is killing me Hunny…,” she further expressed her heartbreak. “I’m sick without you. I’m torn, I’m lost. I’m in pain. I’d text you or call you when I was broken or worried about something, and you’d tell me, Ma, I got you, we’ll get thru this together. Boy. Why did you leave me.”
Recalling the last time she saw Gregory alive, Lisa wrote, “I went to your house to eat leftovers from Mother’s day, we watched a Dave Chappelle show and you walked me to my car, hugged me, kissed me on my cheek and told me that you love me and to call you when I got home. That was it. Never another hug, kiss or to hear those words, I love you again. I’m broken.”
