Hugh Hefner’s son Cooper marries ‘Harry Potter’ actress Scarlett Byrne
Cooper Hefner, the son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, and “Harry Potter” actress Scarlett Byrne have made it official.
The two posted a courthouse photo to Instagram on Monday, and announced that they’d legally become husband and wife. The partying will commence at a later date.
“Cheers to a life full of love, happiness, adventure, and great purpose, Mrs. Hefner,” he wrote.
“I love you Cooper. I am proud to stand by your side, as your partner, your friend, and your wife. I cannot wait to continue building a life together,” she said.
The two shared on social media that they’ll be planning a wedding celebration in the coming months, but no word on whether it will be held at the Playboy Mansion like Hugh Hefner’s wedding to Crystal Harris was.
Cooper Hefner also shared a gallery of pictures of the couple enjoying good times on hikes, at someone else’s wedding and in Christmas pajamas.
The two posted about their engagement back in August of 2015. Since then, Hefner served as Playboy Enterprises’ chief of global partnerships and made news in 2016 for announcing that Playboy was removing nudity from its magazine, and then for declaring that nudity would return in a new way and that “removing it entirely was a mistake.” Earlier this year, Hefner, 28, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he was leaving Playboy to launch a new millennial-focused media company.
Byrne, 29, is best known for playing Pansy Parkinson in three “Potter” films. She also appeared on TV shows “Falling Skies” and “The Vampire Diaries.”
Hugh Hefner died on Sept. 27, 2017, at age 91. Cooper’s mother is model Kimberly Conrad, who was married to Hef from 1989 to 2010.
