Kendall Jenner slammed and mocked as infamous Pepsi advert resurfaces amid Black Lives Matter protests
Kendall Jenner’s cancelled Pepsi advert has made a return to social media amid the protests currently sweeping the globe.
The world has been left outraged after black man George Floyd was senselessly killed at the hands of the American police last week.
A number of Black Lives Matter protested have taken place in the US, the UK and across the world since news of he killing broke.
Amid the demonstrations, 24 year old Kendall’s Pepsi commercial, which was slammed for being “tone deaf” upon its release in 2017, has resurfaced online.

The advert showed Kendall taking part in a photoshoot on the street as a large protest walked by.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kendall is seen getting distracted by the goings on, with members of the crowd urging her to join in.
She then rips off her blonde wig and wipes off her lipstick, leaving the photoshoot to join in with the movement.
As she moves through the huge crowd, Kris and Caitlyn’s daughter is seen picking up a can of ice cold Pepsi as she makes her way to the front of the protest.
Faced with a line of policemen, Kendall steps forward and hands the can to one of the officers.
After he takes a sip of the soft drink, the protest erupts into cheers as peace between the police and protesters is restored.
The commercial immediately caused outrage, with many viewers accusing Pepsi of trivialising the Black Lives Matter movement and putting a “privileged white” model at the centre of the campaign.
Kendall and Pepsi are both now once again being mocked on social media as marches and riots break out across America and the world.
One social media user took to Twitter to post a photo of Kendall handing the policeman the can of Pepsi, writing: “Where’s Kendall Jenner with a Pepsi when we need her?”
A second wrote: “Kendall Jenner is getting ready to cure racism with a Pepsi,” while a third sarcastically asking: “Why isn’t Kendall Jenner stopping these riots with a Pepsi?”
Kendall tearfully apologised for starring in the commercial in an episode of her family’s reality series back in 2017.
She told sister Kim Kardashian: “I just feel really, really bad. I feel really bad that anyone was ever offended.
“I feel really bad that this was taken such a wrong way and I genuinely feel like s**t. I have no idea how I’m gonna bounce back from it.”
