Love Island’s Callum cheekily teases his plan to ask Shaughna to be his girlfriend
Love Island’s Callum Jones finally admits his true feelings for Shaughna Phillips during tonight’s episode as he admits he sees their situation as ‘exclusive.’
Things look like they might be set to get more serious for the 23-year-old scaffolder as he hints he could be ready to seal the deal with fiery brunette Shaughha.
The 25-year-old original Islander confessed she sees herself as Callum’s ‘girlfriend’ and isn’t looking for anything else in the villa when a cheeky chat turns serious.
In tonight’s explosive episode, things take a romantic turn as the islanders chat about the unknown status of their relationship.
Tonight viewers will watch as Sophie teases Shaughna about being in love with Callum after being inseparable since they entered the sun-soaked South African villa.
The Essex babe cheekily questions her best friend, saying: “What’s it like to be in love…?”
Before Shaughna can ponder her feelings for too long, Sophie then asks: “Do you see yourself being Callum’s girlfriend?”
The democratic services officer then gets slightly embarrassed as she hesitantly replies: “Yeah, I suppose.. obviously I came in here to find someone.
“But I didn’t think I would. I’m not looking for anyone else.”
Later in the episode, viewers will see Callum touch on the subject of making things official with his partner following the progress of their romance.
The handsome islander, who has never had an official girlfriend before, asks fellow contestants for advice on ‘how it happens’.
Luke T gets straight to the point as he asks: “Are you exclusive?”
Without thinking Callum insists “Yeah, deffo,” but is later forced to ask for advice on the stages of a relationship as he becomes confused by their status.
The hunky lad blurts out: “Do you have to ask that question, or does it just happen?”
The rest of the boys fall around in hysterics as they playfully mock Callum’s inexperience with relationships before advising him: “You have to say…”
Could Callum be getting ready to ask Shaughna to be official?
Last weekend, Callum and Shaughna finally went on a long-awaited first date to a secluded beach for some quality alone time.
After airing out some issues, fiery Shaughna seemed impressed with their romantic getaway and conversation turned to important milestones such as meeting each others families.
The couple have remained together since the start of their Love Island journeys despite facing a few bumps along the way when he ‘slightly’ fancied Rebecca and was whisked away on a date by Eve.
