Mike Johnson And Demi Lovato’s Romance Is Reportedly ‘Done’

Tyler Cameron isn’t the only Bachelorette alum whose big public romance with an A-list celeb after the show didn’t last. Mike Johnson, who went on multiple dates with Demi Lovato, is no longer seeing her, People reports tonight. A source told the outlet that Lovato and Johnson’s romance is “done.”

The confirmation comes shortly after Johnson more or less confirmed it on his own by very publicly asking Keke Palmer out on Strahan Sara and Keke. “I made a mistake, I don’t like dating in public,” Johnson told the hosts before looking at Palmer and saying, “But, if I were to ask you, if we could go on a date…?”

Palmer was shocked and asked with her eyes wide open, “What’s the next question?” Eventually, she told the crowd that she wasn’t going to respond to Johnson on camera. “Ladies, I’m at work. I’m at work, guys. Go ahead,” she said, gesturing to her co-host Strahan to continue the interview with the next question. “I’m at work.”

Johnson also appeared on People Now today, where he was asked whether he is single. “My relationship status right now is sadly like my Facebook, it is private,” Johnson quipped.

Johnson was a little more forthcoming about Lovato two weeks ago on iHeartRadio’s Almost Famous podcast, presumably when they were still dating. He talked about Lovato’s kissing skills and admitted they’ve seen each other multiple times. “We’ve gone on more than one date,” Johnson said, via People. “I like her tattoos—we both have a lot of tattoos. Demi has more than me. And, uh, she kisses really well.”

He also admitted on that same podcast that he was a little nervous to be so public about things in case they do end. “What scares me about it is that if Demi and I were not to become boyfriend/girlfriend, how people perceive that, which honestly I shouldn’t give two shits about,” he said, via Buzzfeed. “We do like each other, and we are getting to know each other but what if it were not meant to be? Then people are gonna speculate.”
