Olivia Rodrigo’s White House suit is older than she is
Olivia Rodrigo making it clear that COVID-19 vaccines are “good 4 u.”
On Wednesday, the 18-year-old pop star met with President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci at the White House to discuss the importance of vaccinations amongst her Gen Z peers.
Rodrigo smiled as she entered the West Wing, sporting a vintage Chanel skirt suit worthy of former First Lady Jackie Kennedy.
Her pink plaid blazer and mini hail from the French fashion house’s Spring 1995 collection — making the look eight years older than the “Drivers License” singer, who was born in 2002.
Rodrigo paired her vintage suit with stark white Giuseppe Zanotti platform heels ($995) and black socks, and clutched a tiny Amina Muaddi black suede purse ($1,029), further accessorizing with multiple silver rings and chain earrings.
She teased her DC visit on Tuesday, commenting under an Instagram post from the POTUS urging youth vaccinations.
“I know this young person would’ve gotten vaccinated, but we’ve got to get other young people protected as well. Who’s willing to help?,” Biden captioned a throwback photo of his younger self.
“i’m in! see you tomorrow at the white house!” Rodrigo replied.
The singer spoke at the White House’s press briefing for their youth vaccination campaign, urging her fellow teens to get the jab.
“I’m in awe of the work President Biden and Dr. Fauci have done and was happy to help lend my support to this important initiative,” Rodrigo told the press. “It’s important to have conversations with friends and family members encouraging all communities to get vaccinated.”
