Selena Gomez Attends a Birthday Party For Her Friend’s Dog

Selena Gomez is a proud dog mom, taking her new pup Winnie to a doggy birthday party. Gomez and Winnie celebrated the birthday of her friend’s dog, a Cocker Spaniel named Freddy, in Los Angeles Friday. In a video posted on a Gomez fan account, Gomez and friends sang “Happy Birthday” to Freddy, who turned six and wore a birthday hat for the occasion.

Gomez took a break from her busy schedule lately to attend the party. She’s

currently planning on releasing new music after a long hiatus to focus on her mental health.

“Selena is in a really good place,” a source told Entertainment Tonight recently. “She just celebrated her birthday in Italy and is really enjoying this time off before things ramp up again. Selena has been working on new music and plans to release some this year. The new music is going to be a different side of Selena and very personal. Selena has gone through a lot over the years and is ready to share it with the world.”

She’s also rumored to make an appearance on Taylor Swift’s upcoming album Lover. A fan at a recent listening party for the album at Swift’s home in London said that there is a song that features not only Gomez, but Katy Perry as well, which is said to be all about “women empowerment.”
