Sharon Stone’s 11-month-old nephew dies after suffering total organ failure
Sharon Stone is mourning the loss of her 11-month-old nephew River after he tragically died from total organ failure on Monday.
Stone, 63, posted a heartbreaking video of little River to her Instagram to honor his memory.
“River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021,” she captioned the post on Monday.
The tiny tot was seen smiling and laughing in the video while wearing a diaper and a cute floral-print shirt. Eric Clapton’s song, “Tears In Heaven” — written about the death of his own son — played as the soundtrack to the short clip.
People quickly took to the comments section to show their support as the actress mourned the loss of her nephew.
“Condolences sharon. Praying for you and family,” one person wrote.
“I’m deeply sorry for your loss,” someone commented on the post.
“Heartbroken for you all,” another person added.
“So very sorry, Sharon. Sending you love,” a fan said.
Stone first shared the painful news that River was hospitalized after suffering from total organ failure last week.
“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today,” the “Basic Instinct” actress shared at the time, along with a photo of River in the hospital hooked up to a machine.
“Please pray for him. We need a miracle,” she added.
River, born in September 2020, is the son of Stone’s brother Patrick.
Stone was most recently spotted in Venice for a Dolce & Gabbana photoshoot. It’s unclear if she will be heading home to be with family during this difficult time. Page Six has reached out to her rep for comment.
