‘Teen Mom’ Star Cory Wharton Says He’s ‘Always On Edge’ After Welcoming Second Child

Babies keep their parents on their toes! And it’s no different for Taylor Selfridge and Cory Wharton who welcomed their first child together, on April 22, 2020. In an interview with US Weekly, the couple has revealed how they are adjusting to their lives as new parents of their one-month-old daughter Mila.

The Challenge alum and his girlfriend Taylor Selfridge joined host Emily Longeretta on Thursday’s podcast of US Weekly – Watch With Us, to preview The Teen Mom OG At Home: Cory & Taylor’s Baby Special. This self-recorded footage, premiering on June 9, is a documentary about their pregnancy and Mila’s birth amid a pandemic.

Cory opened up, “It was new to me. “I met [my 3-year-old daughter], Ryder, when she was 6 months old, so I haven’t experienced the first six months and now I get to do that. It’s a lot of work. … I have to say, I had it easy with Ryder!” The Teen Mom OG star shares 3-year-old daughter Ryder, with ex Cheyenne Floyd.

Giving birth amidst the global pandemic wasn’t easy. However, they have started settling down with the new routine and are gradually adjusting to the newest member of their family. The Real World alum perfectly understands that the first six months will be intense. They have to be very attentive and watch her so that nothing goes wrong.

He added, “I feel like as the days go on, we’re just getting more comfortable and trying to be the best parent you can be.”

Are You The One? alum, Taylor Selfridge also expressed the same emotions. She was a bit lost initially and wasn’t absolutely sure of everything the little one was doing. She began researching on Google the concerns she had but realized it’s not the best thing to do. In the past few weeks, things have “gotten easier” for the new mom, who said, “I was just afraid for anything to happen to her because she’s so small.”

Ryder also has a great time being the older sister. “She is such a sweet, innocent soul,” said the father in admiration of his first child. After Mila was born, Cheyenne Floyd shared a sweet video of Ryder’s reaction. She stayed up extra-late and was super excited to hear the good news.
