Matt Lauer, girlfriend attend same Hamptons event as ex-wife Annette Roque
Matt Lauer and his ex-wife, Annette Roque, still run in the same social circles.
The disgraced “Today” show host, 63, was spotted mingling with his girlfriend, Shamin Abas, on Sunday at a country-set event in the Hamptons, while the 54-year-old mother of his three kids was just a few feet away.
It appears the pair successfully avoided an awkward run-in with Lauer’s ex, however, as they were not photographed together at any point throughout the event.

Lauer and Abas, 52, were seen chatting closely while sitting on a wooden bench. At points, the former NBC anchor was photographed leaning in closely to speak with his girlfriend of nearly two years.
They were both dressed casually in matching blue fleece sweaters, pants and comfortable shoes.
Meanwhile, Roque, who was dressed in a striped sweater and khaki pants, kept herself preoccupied speaking to other event-goers and looking after her dog.
In June 2019, Lauer and Roque finalized their divorce with a multimillion-dollar settlement. The pair split after he was axed from NBC’s “Today” in 2017 over sexual misconduct claims.
Page Six learned at the time that Roque was awarded up to $20 million in assets and the couple’s Hamptons horse farm in Water Mill.
Lauer began dating Abas in December 2019. Page Six was told at the time that the journalist and owner of a luxury brand marketing firm had known each other for more than 10 years, but their relationship had only recently become romantic.
“Matt and Shamin have known each other for many years; she spends a lot of time in the Hamptons, as does he,” a source previously told us. “They very recently began dating. She is a lovely woman.”
