WWE legend Paige furious over leaked interview of Triple H joking about her sex life
WWE legend Paige is said to be furious after Triple H made a crude joke about her sexual past.
Paige came under immense scrutiny by WWE officials and fans in 2017 after her short-lived engagement to fellow superstar Alberto Del Rio and the leak of a sex tape.
Although she was forced to retire in 2018 through injury, Paige still works for WWE in a backstage analyst role.
HHH was speaking to members of the media and he was quizzed on a potential return to the ring for Paige and also Edge, who also suffered a career-ending injury at the start of the decade.
But in doing so, he appeared to make a risky comment about Paige’s sex life.
“I’m a fan just like everyone else. I would love to see [Edge or Paige] step into the ring and compete,” he said.
“More importantly than that, though, I would like to see them live long, healthy lives.
“You know, Edge has kids.
“Paige – maybe – she probably has some she doesn’t know of.”
While the remark had remnants of Triple H’s D-Generation X jovial past, the comment was not seen in great light given his current job role.
HHH is one of the WWE’s top executive figures.
Taking to Twitter to address the comments, Paige quote tweeted a video and suggested that she was not too happy with the remark.
“Even my boss jokes about me.. no wonder you guys still do it too,” she wrote.
Paige’s mum, a wrestler herself, did not seem happy with the comments.
She firstly wrote on Twitter: “Oh bird” followed by angry emojis.
It was then followed up with: “Hmmmmmmm not good…”
Triple H’s interview took place in the UK, where he has been visiting for the recent NXT TakeOver show in Blackpool.
