Bad Bunny Announces New Album and Performs on Fallon: Watch
Bad Bunny sat down with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night’s Tonight Show. During his appearance, he revealed details of his new 20-song album YHLQMDLG. It arrives tomorrow (February 29) at 12 a.m. Eastern. He also revealed the new album’s artwork and performed “Ignorantes” with Sech. Watch it all happen below.
During the performance, Bad Bunny wore a skirt and a shirt that read, in Spanish, “They killed Alexa, not a man in a skirt.” The statement was a response to the recent murder of Alexa Negrón Luciano, a trans woman in Puerto Rico whose violent death has sparked fresh outrage about the commonwealth’s homophobia.
Bad Bunny’s late-night stop follows his appearance at the Super Bowl 2020 Halftime Show alongside J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira. He shared “Ignorantes” in mid-February along with a video. He released the song “6 Rings” as a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant at the end of January. After releasing X 100PRE in late 2018, Bad Bunny joined J Balvin on the collaborative album OASIS last June.
