When Will Narcos Mexico 2 Premiere In Netflix?
As of now Narcos Mexico 2 will air on Netflix on February 13. It is more than a year after the release of Narcos: Mexico.
Along with the date announcement, Netflix released a short teaser featuring the lead actor Deigo Luna. In the teaser, he turns towards the camera while he speaks in a menacing voice.
Netflix has released the first look of Narcos: Mexico season two, introducing Scoot McNairy’s character as a significant player alongside returning star Diego Luna.
The Finale Episode (Narcos Mexico)
The series follows the establishment of the modern Mexican drugs trade. It focuses on Felix Gallardo, who is real-life narco, a drug lord who was a former Sinaloan police officer.
They also introduced Kiki Camarena, a Mexican-American DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agent tasked with taking Felix down.
The season followed the two fights, which ended in the abduction, torture and murder of Kiki, whose death ultimately catalyzed the war on drugs.
After Gallardo killed DEA agent Camarena, McNairy, playing the next DEA agent-in-charge, arrives in Guadalajara to run Operation Leyenda. It is the task force that would bring about indictments for those responsible for Camarena’s death.
Walt Breslin steps in front of the camera to reveal himself. He says to close the season, “We were in a war. Now, it was our turn. Pretty soon, they were going to know; they were in one too”.
What To Expect In Narcos Mexico 2?
McNairy, who got revealed at the end of the series, will be a major player when the Netflix cartel saga returns in February. Eric Newman says “To understand the current level of drug violence in Mexico you have to understand how it all started, and truly grasp America’s integral role in it,”.
Narcos: Mexico will once again unfold under the guidance of an English-speaking narrator, but the identity of the narrator was not revealed to be newcomer McNairy until the final scene.
