Brad Pitt Has “Virtually No Contact” With His Adult Kids
Brad Pitt remains mostly estranged from the six children he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
Per a new report from People, the actor has “virtually no contact” with his adult kids, but still has visitation rights with the younger ones, per his and Jolie’s custody agreement.
“His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule,” the source said, as Pitt is currently filming his racing movie F1 in Europe.
Jolie and Pitt, who split in 2016, share Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, Pax, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.
Jolie is regularly seen out with her children, and has been collaborating with them on major projects. Pax has been involved in some of her films and campaigns, as well as in her new Atelier Jolie. And Vivienne helped her mother produce The Outsiders on Broadway. (The two even took home some awards at the 2024 Tony Awards.)
Pitt has not been photographed out with his children in years, and this May, his and Jolie’s biological daughter Shiloh dropped his last name the very day she turned 18.
A source told People that Pitt is “aware and upset” about Shiloh’s name change. (Zahara has also publicly dropped Pitt from her name, though the change is not yet legal.)
“The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad,” the source said, adding that the actor is “happy” in his relationship with Ines de Ramon, but the distance from his children “pains him.”
