How Josh Hall Is “Completely” Starting Over After Christina Hall Split

Days after Christina Hall and Josh Hall announced their breakup, a source told E! how the entrepreneur is doing amid his divorce from the HGTV star.

Christina Hall‘s estranged husband Josh Hall is focusing on his health and his faith in the wake of their breakup.

Less than two weeks after the former couple filed for divorce, a source familiar with the matter shared insight into the entrepreneur’s well-being.

“Now that they’ve split, we hear he’s spending some time in Nashville, where he’s been hitting the gym and attending church regularly,” the insider told E! News July 26. “He’s focusing on finding the light at the end of the tunnel as he has to completely start over.”

The source continued, “He’s optimistic for what’s next but wishes nothing but the best for Christina and her kids.”

The HGTV star—who shares children Taylor El Moussa, 13, and Brayden El Moussa, 8, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and son Hudson Anstead with Ant Anstead—and Josh both filed for divorce July 16 after more than two years of marriage.

“All marriages have their ups and downs, but Josh never expected his relationship with Christina to end like this,” the source told E! News. “Josh isn’t a flashy guy. He was a medically retired cop and real estate investor when he met Christina, and he devoted the past few years to Christina and her kids.”

The insider added that “24/7, his social, professional, and romantic lives revolved around Christina” and noted the two were recently filming the HGTV series The Flip Off, which they were set to star opposite Tarek and his wife Heather El Moussa.

The series will now continue on without Josh, a separate source told E! last week.

“They grew together as a unit and together purchased their dream home in Newport Beach, Calif., where Christina has continued to reside since their separation,” the insider continued. “Josh’s priority was always Christina. He loved her dearly, and he’s very sad this is how things ended.”

E! News has reached out to Christina’s rep for comment and has not heard back.

As for Christina, she spoke out about the break up on social media and in court documents, where she accused Josh, in a filing obtained by E! News, of making an unauthorized transfer of over $35,000 to his own bank account one day after she says they separated.

“I have worked my a– off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories July 25. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you- but ‘still i rise.'”

She added, “Divorces do not happen overnight,” she wrote, “& there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.”
