Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund will hold its fourth annual benefit on Oct. 14 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, with actor and comedian Sean Hayes as host. Gomez, 34, founder of both Rare Beauty and the fund, announced the date on Aug. 24.
What the benefit supports
The fund’s goal is to raise $100 million for organizations that expand young people’s access to mental health services and education around the world. In her announcement, Gomez said the work has taught her how much it matters for a young person to have someone in their corner, especially when they feel most alone.

Looking back
Last year’s benefit was one of Gomez and Benny Blanco’s first big outings as newlyweds, about a month after their wedding. At the 2024 event, she told PEOPLE the cause is the most important thing she does with her time, and that it’s about showing up for people every day, not just one night a year.

Gomez has been open about her own mental health, and the Rare Impact Fund is one of the clearest cases of a celebrity putting lasting support behind her words. Linking a beauty brand to youth mental health funding is an approach more brands could learn from.
