Camila Alves McConaughey Reacts to ‘Sweet Moment’ Son Levi, 18, Blows Her a Kiss from the Vogue World Runway

Levi McConaughey walked down the Vogue World: Milan runway with the ultimate swagger.

The 18-year-old actor and son of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey made an appearance in Vogue‘s fifth installment of its global fashion showcase, and his mom had a primetime view of his major debut.

On her Instagram Stories, Camila, 44, posted a video of herself reacting to her teen’s modeling. The clip shows Levi looking into the crowd and blowing a kiss toward his mom proudly filming the “sweet moment.”

The Pantalones Tequila cofounder further expressed how proud she was of her kid, captioning the post, “❤️ my son @levimcconaughey blowing his mama a kiss from the runway at Vogue World: Milan!”

She also thanked Armani for dressing her in an “effortless” white dress for the occasion, “so I [could] focus on helping my son behind the scenes and not stressing with the rest.”

Before heading to Italy, the mother-son duo stepped out for a glam outing at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opening in Los Angeles on Sept. 19. “And man… since @levimcconaughey turned 18 he’s looking more and more like a young man, mamma it’s like, when did that happen!!,” she captioned an Instagram photo of the two posing at the event.

Vogue‘s special homage to Italian culture, specifically “handcrafts and innovation,” per the outlet, came with many more celebrity catwalk cameos, including ones made by Cardi B in 2018 Versace, Jennifer Lopez dancing in a Dolce & Gabbana 2025 Alta Moda Roma gown, MGK in Byblos and Alicia Keys in a bespoke gown by Francesco Risso and Alex Sossah’s Bureau of Imagination.

It’s no surprise that Levi decided to take this big step in his career, which has also seen him following in his dad’s Hollywood footsteps with his first role in Apple TV+’s harrowing thriller The Lost Bus, which also stars Matthew.

“I had to badger him,” Levi told PEOPLE in a 2025 cover story of asking the Oscar winner, 56, to play his onscreen son in the film. “This role wasn’t me going ‘Oh, I’m going to become an actor,’” he added. “It was me saying, ‘I’m really interested in this.’”

Matthew revealed that he asked the project’s casting director to pull Levi’s last name in the audition process. “And I got a call back and she said, ‘Our director Paul Greengrass said, “That’s the kid. That’s the son, Levi.”’ And then she goes, and ‘I told him that’s actually Matthew’s son in real life.’” 

Having a leg up in the industry is something Levi is aware of. But, “as much as people can say, ‘Oh, you got this because of your father or your mother,’ they can open the door, but then it’s going to be up to me to do my thing once I get in there. That’s on me.”

Beyond celebrating work milestones, Levi also turned 18 this past summer. Matthew shared a loving tribute to his eldest on Instagram, writing, “18. That’s a # buddy. Enjoy and handle your new freedoms. @levimcconaughey.”
