Chris Cuomo conspicuously absent as wife Cristina steps out for Hamptons bash

Where is Chris Cuomo?

The CNN anchor’s wife Cristina Greevan Cuomo was out and about in the Hamptons this weekend minus her husband, as questions swirl about the ethics of Chris blurring the lines between his media job and his relationship with brother Andrew Cuomo, who has resigned as New York Governor after a report found that he sexually harassed or otherwise mistreated 11 women.

A spy tells us Cristina was at hip restaurant Calissa in Watermill on Friday sans Chris but “with four girlfriends, ordering a bottle of vodka and watching Questlove DJ.”

“She is always out and about — she runs Purist,” added the source, referring to her wellness publication.

The “Cuomo Prime Time” anchor has come under intense fire after admitting that — despite the fact that he’s supposed to be an unbiased journalist — he gave his brother strategic advice as he navigated the crisis. Chris apologized on his show when their calls about the scandal became public.

“It will not happen again,” he said. “It was a mistake.” Chris also said, “family first, job second.” He added, “I know where the line is. I can respect it and still be there for my family, which I must.”

Chris also appeared to use his family ties to get the Governor on his show regularly when Andrew was being hailed as a hero of the pandemic early in 2020, but then bowed out of covering him when public opinion began to sour — first, as reports surfaced that he may have downplayed the number of COVID-19 deaths in New York nursing homes, and then as sexual misconduct allegations began to emerge.

He returns to the air on Monday for the first time since the scandal broke, after what he said was a previously scheduled break. During a recent CNN podcast, he said he would be spending his time off out East.

“I’ll be right here at home because I don’t know why I’d go anywhere else than the East End of Long Island during the summer,” Chris said. “It’s the most beautiful place in the world.”

Gov. Cuomo resigned last week after attorney general Letitia James’ investigation found that he has sexually harassed or mistreated 11 women. Among the accusers was current Cuomo staffer Brittany Commisso, who claims he groped her on two occasions.

He said he took “full responsibility” for his actions, but noted “generational differences” and claimed he never touched anyone inappropriately. “In my mind, I’ve never crossed the line with anyone,” he said.

Chris and Cristina are longtime Hamptonites and regularly spotted around town.
