When it came to celebrity drama, 2019 was—and I can’t stress this enough—a giant mess. But there’s hope for 2020 thanks to Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. The former couple have been hanging out lately, and by that I mean Brad attended Jennifer Aniston’s recent holiday party and was literally the last to leave.

And now, a source is out here telling Us Weekly that sparks! are! flying “Brad and Jen have a wonderful connection that might seem flirtatious at times,” the source said. “They dig each other’s sense of humor and have an infectious energy when they’re together, but they insist things are purely platonic and nothing more than that.”

LOL, OKAY.

“It took a while for Jen to heal and for Brad to stop feeling bad for how he left her back in 2005,” the source continued. “This is something they’ve taken their time with, and they’re well aware of the hysteria around their relationship among their fans.”

Wow, I feel personally @-ed. Anyway, on top of this news, Brad and Jen have agreed to “bury the past” re Brad leaving Jen for Angelina Jolie, and a source tells Us Weekly that “He’s taken responsibility. He’s tried to make amends. He didn’t realize the magnitude of the hurt he caused Jen at the time. He was so swept up in Angelina Jolie, he couldn’t see outside that tunnel.”
