TWITTER: WHAT WERE DONALD TRUMP’S DELETED TWEETS? EMAIL ADDRESS POST EXPLAINED!

Twitter has removed one of Donald Trump’s posts – so what was Trump’s deleted tweet?

The US president is an active social media user and he regularly takes to his Twitter account to address current affairs and offer his thoughts on a number of topics.

Trump has been more vocal on the site ahead of the presidential election in November this year.

But many people have said that one of the US president’s tweets is no longer available because it violated Twitter’s rules.

So, what was Trump’s removed tweet?

TWITTER DELETES TRUMP’S TWEET

On Monday, October 5th, Twitter removed one of Trump’s tweets.

If you log into the site and go to Trump’s profile, you will find that there is a missing tweet between the posts that start with the words “STOCK MARKET UP BIG” and “Will be back on the Campaign Trail soon!!!”

A message on the US president’s account states:

“This Tweet is no longer available because it violated the Twitter Rules.”

WHAT WAS TRUMP’S DELETED TWEET?

It appears that Trump’s deleted tweet is a post he shared about New York Post columnist Miranda Devine.

On October 4th, Miranda wrote an opinion article about Trump with the headline ‘Coronavirus battle shows the bravery of President Trump’. In the article, the journalist spoke about his reemergence after he was hospitalised due to Covid-19.

Trump shared a few paragraphs from Miranda’s story which read:

“You see it in enthusiasm for the President outside Walter Reed Hospital. You see it in Registrations, from Florida to Pennsylvania & West Virginia, where Republicans are outstripping Democrats by 2 to 1.

“If the President bounces back onto the campaign trail, he will be an invincible hero, who not only survived every dirty trick the Democrats threw at him, but the Chinese virus as well. He will show America we no longer have to be afraid.”

Trump added in his tweet: “Thank you Miranda. Was over until the Plague came in from China. Will win anyway!”

It appears that the original post included Miranda’s email address which is why Twitter may have removed it.

TRUMP RETWEETS THE POST

Shortly after the tweet was deleted, Trump took to his Twitter account again and reshared the post – but this time he tagged the Twitter accounts of Miranda and New York Post.

The posts are still available at the time of publication.
