Office Romance
Streaming: June 5. Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein play a CEO and her new employee who start a secret workplace romance. Ol Parker directs, and Lopez reunites with Edward James Olmos, her on-screen dad from Selena. Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris and Tony Hale co-star.
Mexico 86
Streaming: June 5. Diego Luna stars in Gabriel Ripstein’s comedy based on the true story of a bold Mexican bureaucrat who talked his way into securing the 1986 World Cup for Mexico.
I Am Frankelda
Streaming: June 12. A dark fantasy musical and the first stop-motion feature made entirely in Mexico. Set in 19th-century Mexico, it follows a gifted writer, Frankelda (Mireya Mendoza), and serves as a prequel to the series Frankelda’s Book of Spooks.
Voicemails for Isabelle
Streaming: June 19. Zoey Deutch plays Jill, who copes with her sister’s death by leaving voicemails on her old phone, until the number is reassigned to a real estate agent in Texas (Nick Robinson). Leah McKendrick directs, and Nick Offerman co-stars.
Little Brother
Streaming: June 26. A buddy comedy from Matt Spicer starring John Cena as a successful real estate agent whose life is upended by an unexpected visit from his oddball “little brother” (Eric Andre). Michelle Monaghan and Chris Meloni co-star.
Chris & Martina: The Final Set
Streaming: June 26. Rebecca Gitlitz’s documentary about tennis rivals Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova, who battled on court for nearly two decades and were later diagnosed with cancer at the same time.
Enola Holmes 3
Streaming: July 1. Millie Bobby Brown returns as Sherlock’s sister, this time taking on her most complicated case yet in Malta. Louis Partridge and Himesh Patel co-star, and Philip Barantini directs.
72 Hours
Streaming: July 24. Tim Story (Barbershop) directs Kevin Hart as a middle-aged man who is accidentally added to a group chat for a wild bachelor party, and decides to join the three-day blowout. Saturday Night Live‘s Marcello Hernández and Ben Marshall co-star.
The Last House
Streaming: Aug. 7. Wagner Moura and Greta Lee star in a sci-fi horror film from Now You See Me director Louis Leterrier.
The Ribbon Hero
Streaming: Aug. 8. A Japanese anime film from first-time director Yūki Igarashi, based on Osamu Tezuka’s 1953 manga Princess Knight, about a lone hero who defies destiny.
A Child of My Own
Streaming: Aug. 13. Maite Alberdi blends fiction and documentary to dramatize a real case that caused a tabloid frenzy in Mexico in the 2000s.
Don’t Say Good Luck
Streaming: Aug. 14. Julia Hart directs Sunny Sandler as Sophie, a high school musical lead dealing with even more drama at home. Melanie Lynskey and Max Greenfield co-star.
The Whisper Man
Streaming: Aug. 28. Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan star in an adaptation of the bestselling 2019 crime novel.
Our take
For date night, Office Romance and Voicemails for Isabelle make an easy rom-com double feature. Families will want Enola Holmes 3, and for something truly different, I Am Frankelda is a stop-motion milestone worth seeing.
