Alanis Morissette Announces ‘Jagged Little Pill’ 25th-Anniversary Tour, Releases New Song

You outta know it’s the 25th anniversary of Alanis Morissette’s seminal album Jagged Little Pill.

The Canadian singer is embarking on a 31-date North American tour to celebrate the album. The tour will also feature 1990s alt-rock icons Garbage and Liz Phair as opening acts. It’s “ironic”, but to date, there has only been a single tour stop in Canada announced, with Morissette hitting Toronto on July 11.

Fans can go “head over feet” for Morissette as she performs not only the Jagged Little Pill tracklisting in its entirety but songs from her entire catalogue of music, including her upcoming new album, Such Pretty Forks In The Road.

Her new album won’t be out until May 1, but the singer, 45, has released the first song off the album, “Reasons I Drink”.

Nostalgia for the 1995 album is at a peak with a new Broadway musical inspired by Jagged Little Pill opening in New York City this week. Featuring an original story written by “Juno” writer Diablo Cody, the musical features tracks from the album, along with new songs by Morissette and writing partner Glen Ballard.
