Incubus, 311 coming to Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Incubus and 311. Now there’s a tour tag team that probably should have happened 20 years ago.

And as a matter of fact, it did. The two kind-vibe, scratch-happy, alt-rock bands toured amphitheaters together in 2000. And perhaps as a way of marking the 20th anniversary of that trek, they’re ready to do it again.

Incubus and 311 are heading out on tour this summer, and they’ll stop at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa on Aug. 2. Badflower will open the show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Click here for details.

Incubus recently wrapped a tour honoring the 20th anniversary of their album Make Yourself, which launched them to stardom with singles like Pardon MeStellar and Drive. That tour included a very sold-out date at St. Petersburg’s Mahaffey Theater, so if you missed out there, you have another shot to see them this summer.

As for Down and Amber rockers 311, their Tampa Bay bona fides go way back. They’ve launched cruises out of the Port Tampa Bay, they’ve played major fundraisers in Ybor City and they even have several signature beers with Tampa’s Rock Brothers Brewing.

“I just love that town,” singer Nick Hexum told the Times in 2017. “I love to walk around; there’s so much waterfront and it (is) just so beautiful.”
