Jhené Aiko’s Debut Mixtape ‘sailing soul(s)’ Now Available on Streaming Services

Jhené Aiko‘s debut mixtape sailing soul(s) is finally available on streaming services — just in time to celebrate the project’s 10th anniversary.

Clockign in at approximately 40 minutes, the release of the mixtape on streaming services is the artist’s “thank you” to loyal fans who have been with her since the very beginning. Self-released on March 16, 2011, the original tracklist of sailing soul(s) features guest appearances from the likes of Miguel and Gucci Mane on “hoe,” Drake on “july,” Kanye West on “sailing NOT selling” and Kendrick Lamar on “growing apart too.” The 13-track project marked Aiko’s arrival in LA’s burgeoning music scene, giving her national recognition and leading her to a major label signing.

The 10th anniversary re-release of sailing soul(s) arrives just a few days before the 2021 GRAMMY Awards, where Aiko’s third studio album Chilombo is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album and her John Legend-assisted cut “Lightning & Thunder” is nominated for Best R&B Performance.
