Pink Floyd Are Launching a YouTube Concert Series Today

If you split the difference between Radiohead and Metallica, you might get Pink Floyd. Well, at least when it comes to the world of online concert series. In response to the coronavirus stay-at-home measures, Pink Floyd have announced plans to stream concert films on YouTube.

The series will kick off today, with the concert film Pulse becoming available to stream on the band’s YouTube page at 12 p.m. ET. The performance was filmed on October 20, 1994, at Earls Court in London.

“We’d like to wish you all the best, and hope that you and your families are staying safe and well in these difficult times,” Pink Floyd said in a statement posted to Facebook. “We will continue to post as normal to hopefully give you some interesting and diverting images, music and video to help us all get through this.”

Meanwhile, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has been using the quarantine as the perfect time to brush up on his Leonard Cohen covers.

You can tune into the first live offering below.
