Monica Lewinsky Is Producing ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’ and Twitter Is Truly Unable to Cope

Hi I’m genuinely screaming because last night news broke that American Crime Story season three is coming, and it’s all about the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal. And, wait for it: MONICA LEWINSKY IS PRODUCING.

Impeachment: American Crime Story will star Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp and Beanie Feldstein as ya girl Monica. Sadly, the show won’t be out for over a year—with a scheduled premiere of September 27, 2020.

And honestly, no one can handle the fact that this drama is going down. Like, people are truly spiraling:

FYI, if you’re wondering why Monica’s producing the show, it’s because she’s ready to take the reigns of her own story. “People have been co-opting and telling my part in this story for decades,” she told Vanity Fair. “In fact, it wasn’t until the past few years that I’ve been able to fully reclaim my narrative; almost 20 years later.”

Monica also told the outlet “I was hesitant, and truthfully more than a little scared to sign on. But after a lengthy dinner meeting with Ryan, I came to understand even more clearly how dedicated he is to giving a voice to the marginalized in all of his brilliant work. I’m privileged to work with him and the other talented people on the team, and I’m privileged to have this opportunity.”
