G-Eazy and Ashley Benson split following engagement rumors and less than one year of dating
ASHLEY Benson and G-Eazy have split following rumors of an engagement, less than a year after they began dating.
The actress and rapper sparked romance rumors nine months ago, but after it was revealed she had unfollowed him on Instagram, sources close to the pair have told E! News the pair have ended things.
Ashley and G-Eazy went public just days after her split in early May with British model and actress Cara Delevingne, whom she had been dating since May 2018.
People reported that Ashley and G-Eazy’s romance “feels like just a fling for now,” with an insider adding: “She’s getting over a breakup.”
But the pair became more serious, and he was later her guest at a family wedding that same year.
Just a week ago, the two were spotted in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles together looking loved up, as thy kissed and cuddled outside a juicery.
In October, an insider told E! News that “many people in their friend group thought Ashley and G would be a short fling, but they are very serious about each other.”
The source added: “They have been inseparable for months and are basically living together at this point.”
G-Eazy, real name Gerald Gillum, previously dated Halsey, but the pair’s relationship ended in October 2018 after being on-and-off for much of the year.
In June 2020, the rapper seemingly threw shade at Halsey on his track Not Enough, when he sang about his “crazy-a** ex” who “would go on TV” and “go on Ellen on me.”
