After three long years, Euphoria fans are eagerly awaiting the return of their favorite characters in Season 3. Although the new season won’t premiere until 2026, new photos from the set are already giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie were spotted filming a scene this week on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The actresses, who play Cassie and Maddy, were driving a vintage convertible. Sweeney wore Cassie’s iconic blue and white plaid top and butterfly necklace, while Demie showed a more grown-up Maddy with a silk scarf, amber sunglasses, and a fur stole. The scene also included glamorous accessories, such as a pink and white striped suitcase and a Gucci handbag with a bamboo handle.
In addition to Sweeney and Demie, Zendaya (Rue) and new cast member Rosalía were also spotted on set, although Rosalía’s role remains a mystery. Previous set photos showed Sweeney in a wedding dress walking down an aisle decorated with the initials “C” and “N,” sparking speculation that Cassie might be marrying Nate (Jacob Elordi).
Although Euphoria was renewed for Season 3 in February 2022, filming was delayed due to the writers’ strike and showrunner Sam Levinson’s other commitments, such as The Idol. Filming resumed earlier this year, and the season is expected to premiere in 2026.
Sweeney expressed excitement about returning to Cassie, saying she’s eager to revisit the character, especially the more chaotic aspects of her personality. For her part, Zendaya hinted that the upcoming season will explore the characters’ lives beyond high school, focusing on Rue’s sobriety journey and the other characters’ next steps as they transition into adulthood.
