Love Island’s Lucie says producers deliberately edited her ‘to make her look bad’
Love Island ‘s Lucie has revealed producers edited her to make her look negative, claiming she was “really funny” in the villa.
Surfer girl Lucie also admitted her relationship with Joe works better living hundreds of miles apart.
In an exclusive interview with Mirror Online, the 21-year-old opened up about how she really feels, admitting that bosses failed to include her sense of humour.
When asked if she thinks the producers edited her to make her look bad, the surf babe told us: “Yeah I guess so, because obviously there’s the unseen bits and stuff and I have caught up on a few, but there’s still no bits in it that were hilarious that didn’t really get shown.
“I feel like hopefully for the next one they’ll show a lot more of the funny things because I think a lot of people really wanna see that stuff because I think it’s like really relatable and it’s entertaining isn’t it?”
It comes after a video of Lucie emerged on social media where she was pulling a face and sticking out her tongue.
She continued: “I’ve always been like doing crazy things like that, I’m very much like that.”
Lucie confessed that the video was meant to be sent to Love Island co-star Jordan Hames, but unexpectedly went viral on social media.
It left fans of the Newquay girl shocked by her silly expressions, as they had never seen that side of the blonde beau before.
Lucie added: “I think it didn’t get shown the way I was like that, so in that video I was meant to be sending it to Jordan but the hairdresser put it on his Instagram and it went viral – I didn’t even expect it.
“He gets my personality, he knows I’ve always been like that so he knew I was just like mucking around and obviously it went viral because people didn’t expect me to be like that, because they didn’t see that side of me.”
But the no-nonsense babe also added that the viral video was just her being herself, and revealed she doesn’t care what people thought of it.
“I don’t really care because I was just mucking around – I was just being me, so I guess if they don’t like it, it doesn’t really matter. I was just having fun.”
Since leaving the villa, Lucie was ‘secretly dating’ Joe Garratt , 22, following reports they had split up.
She confirmed that the pair are still together amid the rumours and their romance seems stronger than ever – although they live hundreds of miles away from each other.
Lucie gushed: “I’m down in Cornwall and I still live with my parents and stuff so I’m quite happy.”
And the pair have no plans to move in together soon as she admitted: “I’ve got my dogs at home and he’s got his family – he lives with his family, so it’s quite nice because he comes down to Cornwall, I go down to London and we’re quite happy with that, it’s nice.
“I’m up in London a lot so I’m staying in hotels and between Joe’s a lot, so I see him a lot because I’m up in London and stuff.”
When questioned if she’d ever move to London, the beach babe said: “No definitely not – I can’t be away from the beach and my dogs, but the maximum time I could do up in London is like a week and a bit, after that I need to go home.”
