Scarlett Johansson displays her vast rose back tattoo in playful pink two-piece as she leads the glamour at JoJo Rabbit premiere in LA
She has spent many years treading the red carpet in dazzling style.
And Tuesday night was no different for Scarlett Johansson as she sashayed along at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie JoJo Rabbit, with her appearance seeing her show off her huge back tattoo, which represents her three-year-old daughter Rose, who she shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
The actress, 34, donned a pale pink embellished halter top and matching pants, flashing her midriff in the stylish two-piece as she debuted the movie where she plays the single mother of a 10-year-old boy in Nazi Germany who hides a Jewish girl in her attic.
Scarlett looked simply sensational in the pink two-piece as she stepped out while displaying her taut stomach in the gap between the crop top and high-waisted trousers.
Her halter top left her back bare, displaying almost all of her long roses on vine tattoo and accompanying inked lamb. She debuted the inking during her appearance at the Avengers premiere in April.
The cropped detailing of the halter top gave a flirty feel to the look while she boosted her height with a pair of ornate silver sandals with stiletto heels – perfectly adding to the glitzy vibe of the embellished look.
Showing off her famous beauty, Scarlett wore her blonde locks in loose waves while she slicked her pout with a pink gloss to help complement her pretty pink ensemble.
In the satire directed by Taika Waititi, her character’s son aspires to join the Hitler youth and has a buffonish version of Adolf Hitler as his imaginary friend.
The New Zealand-born Waititi, 44, plays the fictitious Hitler in the movie which he adapted for the screen from the Christine Leunens novel Caging Skies.
JoJo Rabbit also stars Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson and Stephen Merchant, making for a glittering line-up in the eagerly-anticipated movie.
Scarlett’s new film Jojo Rabbit is a comedy of age comedy about lonely 10-year-old German boy Jojo ‘Rabbit’ Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis) during World War II.
His worldview gets turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic.
The only person he feels he can trust and count on is his imaginary friend, an idiotic version of Adolf Hitler (Taiki Waititi).
Despite dividing critics with its satirical take on Nazi Germany, the film picked up the People’s Choice award at the Toronto International Film Festival, which is seen as a solid predictor of Academy Awards chances.
Every recipient of the prize has picked up a Best Picture Oscar nomination in recent years, with last year’s winner taking home the gong. Jojo Rabbit hits theaters in the US October 18.
Flying the flag for the movie was also. Rockwell, 50, who wore a buttoned up dark green tailored suit jacket with a pair of baggy black trousers and shiny black shoes. He brought along father, the actor Pete Rockwell, as his guest.
Wilson, 39, opted for an off-the-shoulder red gown with a knee-high split on one side and silver detailing on one half of the bodice.
The Australian actress added red satin shoes, a red sparkly clutch purse and a splash of glossy red lip color.
The child characters in the movie are played by British 11-year-old Roman Griffin Davis in his first professional acting role and 19-year-old New Zealand actress Thomasin McKenzie.
Roman plays the titular JoJo Rabbit, the son of Johansson’s single mother. McKenzie is the Jewish girl that hides from the Nazis in the attic of his home. Other castmembers on hand were Stephen Merchant and Alfie Allen.
Among those who came out to see the movie at the premiere were Debbie Gibson, Lisa Edelstein, Aubrey Plaza, Minnie Driver and Patton Oswalt.
Parks And Recreation alum Plaza, 35, paired a sheer black blouse, that had a solid collar and cuffs and lacey bra, with high-waist black slacks and heels.
Singer Debbie Gibson, 49, was a showstopper in a red and black patterned mini dress with a plunging neckline.
Minnie Driver, 49, opted for a tailored black pant suit which she wore with a Levi’s t-shirt, while Lisa Edelstein, 53, chose an ankle-length blue frock with floral detailing.
Patton Oswalt, 50, showed up with Meredith Salenger and the couple made for a natty duo with the comedian and actor in a blue ensemble and his wife in red.
