Netflix has a busy July, with new true crime, a fresh take on a family classic, sports docuseries and a new Will Ferrell comedy. Here are 10 releases worth adding to your queue, in order of release.
Worst Neighbor Ever (July 1)
From the team behind Worst Ex Ever and Worst Roommate Ever, this true crime anthology covers a different intense case in each episode, from identity theft to murder.
Survival of the Thickest, season 3 (July 2)
Michelle Buteau returns as stylist Mavis Beaumont in the final season. She tries to launch her own business while her relationship with Luca gets serious.
Little House on the Prairie (July 9)
A new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s books with a mostly new cast, led by Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald as Charles and Caroline Ingalls, with Alice Halsey as Laura. Netflix worked with an Osage scholar to update how the story portrays Indigenous people.
Hot Ones: Extra Heat (July 13)
Sean Evans takes his spicy-wings interview show on the road, bringing it to Netflix sets and events. The first guests are stars of The Hawk.
Quarterback, season 3 (July 14)
The sports docuseries follows Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward and Joe Flacco on and off the field.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, season 4 (July 15)
From the creators of Love Is Blind, eight couples decide whether to marry or move on, after test-driving relationships with other people in the group.
The Hawk (July 16)
Will Ferrell stars as Lonnie in a golf comedy about a quirky fictional pro trying to make a comeback.
Ransom Canyon, season 2 (July 23)
Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, Jack Schumacher and Marianly Tejada return after season 1’s shocking finale.
Mary Beth Barone: Galaxy Brain (July 28)
The podcaster and Overcompensating star’s first Netflix stand-up special, full of her dry wit and political humor.
The Bombing of Pan Am 103 (July 30)
First shown on the BBC, this dramatization of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing follows local police and the FBI as they hunt for those responsible. Connor Swindells, Patrick J. Adams and Merritt Wever star.
Our take
Little House on the Prairie is the big one this month, and it’s thoughtfully updated for a new generation. Reality fans will want The Ultimatum, and Survival of the Thickest fans get a proper send-off.
